I.Минало продължително време се използва при предаване на пряка реч, когато в изречението в кавички е използвано сегашно продължително време::
Example:
”I am trying to call my mother, ” he said.
He said that he was trying to call his mother.
”The girl is playing in the garden” said the teacher.
The teacher said that the girl was playing in the garden.

Passive Voice - Present Simple Tense
Сегашно просто време - страдателен залог
Страдателният залог в английския език се образува от съответното време на спомагателния глагол be и миналото причастие /Past Participle/ на основния глагол. Ето защо \"граматическата формула\" на страдателния залог в сегашно просто време е най-общо:
be done
He is a journalist. He writes articles.
These articles are written by him.
При страдателния залог допълнението в изречението се изразява като обект на извършваното действие, а самият извършител може да се зададе с предлога \"by\":
John always returns the books in the library.
The books are returned to the library by John.
А сега да опитаме да превърнем деятелния залог в страдателен на практика:
Helena
Helena is the secretary of Mr. Jones from the ”Stevens & Garner”. Mr. Jones asks her to come to the office at 8 a.m. sharp. She types all his letters and reports. Helena also sends all the faxes and e-mails. Mr. Jones sends Helena to the Manager’s Office when it is necessary. ”Stevens & Garner” pay Helena a good salary. Helena is asked to come to the office at 8 a.m. sharp.All the letters and reports are typed by her. All the faxes and e-mails are sent by her as well.Helena is sent to the Manager’s Office when it is necessary.She is paid a good salary by ”Stevens & Garner”.

Passive Voice - Past Simple Tense
Минало просто време - страдателен залог
Както разбрахме от миналия урок, страдателният залог в английския език се образува от съответното време на спомагателния глагол be и миналото причастие /Past Participle/ на основния глагол. В минало просто време формата е практически аналогична, но вместо сегашно време на спомагателния глагол ”be”се употребява миналата му форма - ”was/were”:
was/ were done
He wrote the letter.
The letter was written by him.
И тук извършителят на действието се задава с предлога ”by”:
The two brothers built the family house on their own.
The family house was built by the two brothers.
А сега малко практика:
The Marketing director of the company paid the bill at the business dinner with the clients.
The bill at the business dinner with the clients was paid by the Marketing director.
Was the bill paid by the Marketing director? - Yes, it was./ No, it wasn’t.
Who was the bill paid by? - The marketing Director.
The students asked the professor several questions.
The professor was asked several questions by his students.
Was the professor asked several questions by his students? - Yes, he was.
Who was asked several questions? - The professor.
Who was the professor asked several questions by? - The students.
The police arrested the two escaped prisoners at the train station.
The two escaped prisoners were arrested by the police at the train station.
Were the two escaped prisoners arrested by the police at the train station?
Yes, they were.
Who was arrested by the police at the train station? - The two escaped prisoners.
Who were the two escaped prisoners arrested by? - By the police.

HAVE Passive
В английския език съществува конструкция със специфична функция - тя се използва, когато един човек не извършва дадена дейност, но е носител на последствията от нея. Звучи малко объркващо, нали? Не е. След като сме били на фризьор, ние казваме: ”Подстригах си косата”, макар че някой друг е извършил това действие вместо нас. В английския нещата звучат по-коректно. Затова се използва т.нар. ”Have Passive”.
I cut my hair. - Аз си подстригах косата.
I had my hair cut. - Косата ми бе подстригана /от някой друг/.
Най-общо формата е:
to have something done
Така че, когато отидете на фризьор:
You have your hair shampooed.
You have your hair cut.
You have your hair styled.
You have your hair dyed.
You finally have your hair blow-dried.

What services can you use at a post office?
You can have your letters posted.
You can have your mail delivered.
You can have your parcels sent to the exact destination.
Ясно е нали? Вие ползвате услугата, но действията се извършват от някой друг.
