ALEX: That’s a great idea!
TOM: We can make a salad and buy a bottle of wine.
ALEX: Let’s see what we have in the fridge.
TOM: We have some tomatoes.
ALEX: I love tomato salad. Have we got any olives?
TOM: Yes, we have some olives and some cheese, but we don’t have any onions.

There is some milk in the cup. There are no cups in the cupboard.
Is there any milk in the cup? - Yes, there is some. No, there isn’t any.
There isn’t any milk in the cup.
Are there any cups in the cupboard? - Yes, there are some. No, there aren’t any.
There aren’t any cups in the cupboard.
Would you like some company?
Would you like some ice in your whiskey?
Will you please lend me some money?
There isn’t any cheese in the fridge. There is no cheese in the fridge.
There aren’t any bottles of beer. There are no bottles of beer.
